Metal Waterproofing + White UV Coating In Jesup
For this project, covering a total workable roof surface area of approximately 8,575 square feet, we implemented a comprehensive waterproofing and coating system using a 12-year high-tensile acrylic solution on a metal rib-style panel roof. The project began with the preparation phase, where we cleared the roof of debris and applied a rinsible primer at a rate of 0.25 gallons per 400 square feet. Next, we performed a thorough pressure wash at a minimum of 4,000 PSI to remove any non-structural materials. To prevent further damage, a Rust Primer was applied at a rate of 1 gallon per 200 square feet to all oxidized areas.
We then addressed fastener maintenance by retightening all fasteners, replacing any stripped or missing fasteners with larger diameter alternatives, and securing the area with new fasteners where needed. All fasteners were encapsulated with industrial-grade fibered sealant for added protection. For vertical seams, we applied a 2-inch-wide layer of industrial-grade sealant, ensuring a minimum dry film thickness (DFT) of 25 mils. Similarly, all horizontal seams were reinforced with a 4-inch-wide layer of sealant, achieving a minimum of 30 mils DFT.
To ensure watertightness, industrial-grade sealant was also applied to all roof penetrations. The project concluded with the application of a high solids acrylic metal roof coating at a rate of 2.25 gallons per 100 square feet, followed by a meticulous final inspection to verify the quality of workmanship. We completed the job with a comprehensive cleanup, leaving the site in pristine condition.
