Neurological institute of Savannah

The Neurological institute of Savannah originally had a Tar & Gravel flat roof which was the original roof when it was built in 1968. This type of roofing is being phased out due to costly repairs and maintenance. So after many patches they ended covering the Tar & Gravel roof and installing a TPO flat roof system with internal gutters close to 12 years ago! While TPO roof systems are a major upgrade from Tar & Gravel roof systems, TPO roof systems have their own unique set of issues. The main issues being that the TPO has to been heated and pressed together along all of the system between the sheets. This can over time lead to several areas of water penetration at the seams and around penetrations. So we installed a completely seamless FiberSeal system With a monolithic membrane. This is an extremely durable membrane infused with nano fibers for reinforcement. We did this system for close to half the cost of applying new TPO all whilst making it seam proof simultaneously!
